Volunteer With TeamOps at Gillette Stadium! We're back! Temple Israel will be participating in the Gillette Stadium TeamOps program. That means that we will provide volunteers to work at certain Gillette Stadium events. The MORE volunteers we provide, the MORE money the Temple receives for our efforts. We have no minimum quota, nor any maximum cap, on the number of volunteers we provide. We do, however, need to provide the number of volunteers we promise for any given event! If you have friends who are not members of Temple Israel who would like to volunteer with you, no problem! You can sign them up too. We will be volunteering at Patriots football games and Gillette Stadium music concerts. We usually work in Guest Services, serving as ticket-takers or ushers. No heavy lifting, mentally or physically. This year, we will try to arrange for our group to work together in the same general area. If you would like to volunteer, but need special arrangements, let us know. The TeamOps staff accommodates requests to the extent that they are able. You provide your own transportation (or arrange to carpool with others) to Gillette, but once there, parking at the Stadium (in the employee area) is available free of charge. You typically need to arrive 4 hours prior to event time in order to check in, receive Gillette Stadium staff clothing & equipment, meet your supervisor, and receive instructions as to your responsibilities. Once you sign up for a specific event, you will receive more details about check-in procedures and what you need to wear. A typical concert shift runs 7 hours, a football game 8.5 hours, a music festival 12 hours. Every hour means money for the Temple . Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Adult children (living at home, visiting from school, or attending a nearby school) are all encouraged to participate in TeamOps. Please read the Volunteer Guidelines. How to Sign UpApproximately three weeks prior to each event, TeamOps will ask us to recruit volunteers. We will immediately send a sign-up notice to everyone on our email distribution list. Those of you choosing to work a specific event will then respond within the period of time specified (preferably ASAP). We, in turn, will notify the TeamOps folks at Gillette with the total number of Temple Israel volunteers that we will provide. Your response is a commitment. Please do your utmost to honor it. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email Bev or Sherm at bpalan@verizon.com.
