Karen Nahary brings her extensive experience to Temple Israel as Executive Director, having previously served as Associate Director of Israel Engagement at CJP. With a background in building and maintaining relationships with over 100 constituencies locally and abroad, coordinating trips, and managing grant programs, Karen is well-equipped to lead our community. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Keene State College and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, she was also selected for the inaugural NextGen Jewish Federation Fellowship by JFNA. A native of Southern Connecticut, Karen is fluent in Hebrew and proudly identifies as a third-generation Holocaust survivor. She resides in Needham with her family, where she enjoys indulging in her passions for reading, cooking, traveling, attending concerts, and immersing herself in the great outdoors.
