Cultural Arts
Welcome to the Cultural Arts Committee page! Our committee is dedicated to organizing a variety of engaging events at Temple Israel that celebrate music, visual art, drama, dance, and literature. Our mission is to foster community connections through the shared appreciation of the arts and to highlight the diverse talents of our Temple members whenever possible.
Thanks to the generous endowed support from the Gamm family, we proudly host an annual event in memory of Sandra Gamm, a cherished former member and dedicated patron of the arts.
Recent events organized by our committee include:
- A Book Launch and Brunch for Irene Frielich’s memoir “Shattered Stars, Healing Hearts: Unraveling My Father’s Holocaust Survival Story” (co-sponsored with the TI Brotherhood)
- Evening Coffeehouses featuring performances by local musicians, including some of our talented members
- A concert by Rabbi Josh Warshawsky, sponsored by the Sandra Gamm Memorial Fund
- A Literary Panel showcasing books authored by our members
- A glass-fusion mezuzah-making workshop
If you’re interested in joining our committee or participating in our events, please reach out to Irene Stoller at CulturalArts@tisharon.org. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant arts community at Temple Israel!
